Mark W. Fox

Mr. Fox graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Capital University Conservatory of Music in 1985.  After spending five years teaching band and choir at Madison Plains High School, Mr. Fox came to Franklin Heights in 1990.  The bands and orchestra have enjoyed great success under his leadership, winning many awards, “Superior” ratings, and Grand Championships.  His ensembles have also traveled extensively to such places as The Smoky Mountain Music Festival in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Mr. Fox is also the Director of Contemporary Worship at Bethel United Methodist Church in Columbus.  He is the founder, director, and composer for Sonshine Productions, a youth musical drama troupe.  He resides in Hilliard with his wife, Karol, and two children, Kyle and Rachael.

Mark W. Sturm

Mark Sturm is a life-long resident of South-Western City Schools, and attended Grove City High School. Mr. Sturm earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from The Ohio State University in 1997. He began his teaching career at Northern Local Schools and taught at Dublin Coffman High School before coming to Franklin Heights in 2000. Mr. Sturm conducts the Concert Band and Jazz Band II and started the percussion ensemble program at Franklin Heights. He also works extensively with the feeder programs at Finland Middle School and Franklin Woods Intermediate School.

Mr. Sturm is active in the music program at Life Vineyard Church in Columbus.  He lives in Grove City with his wife, Lorrie, and his children, Zach, Allie and Leah.
